Stronger - Jeff Bauman

We're Boston Strong, are you?
In honor of our city and those who define our community's strength, we would like to share this photo from a shoot we produced last fall (2013). Renowned portrait photographer, Gregory Heisler contacted us to produce a cover for Jeff Bauman’s new book, STRONGER, which details his experience at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon, the loss of his legs and his inspirational road to recovery.

Production Insights
Jeff Bauman, 27, was severely injured at the Boston Marathon bombing on 4/15/13 with both legs amputated. Following his recovery, Jeff's story has compelled many and he has since inspired others to defy obstacles and come out on top. For this project, it was imperative for Michele, our producer, to select a low-key, sensitive crew; creatives who would not make Jeff feel like his new home was being invaded by the paparazzi. Jeff and his fiancé Erin welcomed our small, intimate production team into their home and shared some personal moments with us. His willingness to share his story and the remarkable spirit held throughout the day proves how resilient and strong our Boston community really is.
